New Etsy Listings

Hola!

I have added many new Etsy items. There will soon be a huge BULK section where you will be able to buy beads individually! That's pretty exciting, no?

  1. Great article thanks. I really enjoy your blog

Check out this great beading Ebook I bought. I even talked my beading friends to getting one and they enjoy it also. I wanted to share it for every other bead lover out there to enjoy

Process

Bauble Box beads are hand-made by Stephanie Atkinson using the following process:

Each bead is formed in a torch that uses an oxygen concentrator and propane tank. A bead is made using rods of coloured glass melted around a steel mandrel and formed in the flame. After completion beads are put into the kiln to anneal. Following the “cooking” time beads are cleaned using a diamond tip reamer to remove the clay solution that covers the mandrel during the creation process. You will see photos of the torch process on the right side of the blog. Scroll down!

Beads are then made into jewelry. Designs are often sketched beforehand and are then made into the final product. Bauble Box also does wholesale orders of certain styles of beads and jewelry pieces. I also do custom orders. Please inquire.
